She
By Sangeeta Sharma
The verdant plains
up her exuberance
She whispers to the statuesque trees
and laughs with the blushing flowers
Inhales and exhales with the ethereal dawns
and magnificent dusks
Her fragrant breath rides the galloping waters
of the brimming lakes,
Stars add sheen to her imaginative nights
And she crazes over the moonlight!!
The swaying luxuriant leaves,
cool like her multihued aanchal that buoys and bloats
in the breeze
Breastfeeding an infant, covered with her pallu, the care and comfort
that a baby feels
The shelter one finds, under a tree,
from the sun and shower
is no different from
the fostering of a mother!!!
