Second Seeding
By Renee Owen & Bruce Feingold
bishop pines
the way they bend
towards adversity
hidden lake
miles of lost trails
early frost
that camping trip
his last
the poppies
second seeding
October drought
digging a fire break
before the wall of flames
charred foothills
ferns unfurl
with the first drops
