Apparitions
By Mona Bedi & Linda Lee L

filling my cup
with your absence
winter rain

rose petals
— strewn on the floor

as if . . .

you have walked in
tinkling wind

foggy night
in the air an eerie chill
stars disappear —

soft rustle of silk
from the cupboard

a crow’s witness
the jeweled cache —
whispered promise
