filling my cup
with your absence
winter rain
rose petals
— strewn on the floor
as if . . .
you have walked in
tinkling wind
foggy night
in the air an eerie chill
stars disappear —
soft rustle of silk
from the cupboard
a crow’s witness
the jeweled cache —
whispered promise
