The Wind Chime's Song
By Geethanjali Rajan & Vidya S Venkatramani

waking

from a morning dream

the wind chime’s song

a gentle breeze nudges

the half-blown hibiscus

squirrels frisk

up and down

the rolled bamboo blind

morning cuppa

the strains of Suprabhatam

slowing seeping in

suddenly an explosion of shouts

from the boys at the cricket game

banyan canopy

a pandemonium of parrots

cheer the winners
